Makes perfect sense. And when you think about it alot of these cacs are really 2nd-3rd generation Americans. Their great grandparents be from Ireland, Germany and wherever tf else but people see them as the "real" or the default Americans simply because they are white smfh.

If they're mad it's probably because they don't like being stripped of their heritage/identity. You'll see things like Irish American, polish American, Italian American but never European American even the concept of white exists in the U.S.

I know “colonizer” has gained a little traction over the last few years, but it doesn’t really sting cacs. Their entire identity and self esteem is tied to “othering” the melaninated peoples of the world, so to hyphenate their ties to America is a pretty good burn.
