Why can’t both be appreciated?

They both can.... I just feel like Egypt (and North Africa in general) is a lost cause.

We lost it :yeshrug:

We got ran up outta there, and the invaders are still there.

I also feel like West Africa gets overlooked - even though the richest and most powerful Africans in history came out of West Africa.

Spirituality was present in Africa long before the Europeans or any other non-Black group sprang into existence. The oldest religions are Black and the oldest spiritual practices are Black.

The only reason religions seem so interconnected is because they have only one source and that is within the interior of what we refer to as Africa.

West Africa >>>> Egypt

West African spiritual systems >>> that Egyptian shyt

West African Kings >>>>> Egyptian pharaohs

West African History >>>> Egypt

you can't white-wash West Africa.

You'd be surprised what White people attempt to do. I remember getting into an argument with a white woman about the spiritual system of the Dogon. She said they learned their practices from traveling English university students. She said that with no evidence but her own self-important opinion.

If they can't directly co-opt it, they'll use other means such as, "they learned it first from us".

This doesn’t change anything. Just because some pawg removed her racism doesn’t mean the country had changed. You could convince white in America that god was Black and still is. The racism is engrained here. They may have worship Black gods but now they see us as the enemy.

They take our spiritual practices and if those practices aren't well known, they lock Black people out of the knowledge while they use it for their own means.

Take a look at the thread I made below:

Spiritual Science of Africans

the framework for modern computers was built upon Black (or, African) Spiritual Science.

west Africans and their diaspora (African Americans,Caribbeans, afro latinos etc..) I would argue are the most influential Africans in history
