Minus a few seasoning choices, and a add a few better tasting cheeses, this how most of the women in my family make mac & cheese. My mom hasn't gone to church in like 20 years and her friend sometimes pays her to make mac & cheese for events.
I don't see a problem here. It's layer, creamy.... Even the top and sides are burnt the way I like it. And I'm real anal about how my mac & cheese is made. I can taste the difference.
