According to the New York City Department of Corrections, New York underground hip-hop fixture and former Def Jux artist, C-Rayz Walz is currently incarcerated on a felony rape charge. The NYC Corrections Department site shows C-Rayz Walz, real name Waleed Shabazz, has been held since December 13, 2019, and is scheduled to appear in court on April 15 but the COVID-19 outbreak could very easily postpone the scheduled court date.

C-Rayz dropped his debut project, The Prelude, back in 2001 and has released several projects since including his most recent album Feel Me with Sallam Said (2014).

What happened to speedy process..

The system is bogged down like fukk and needs overhaul. Brehs get convicted...then have to wait months for get sentenced...I don't understand why not sentence that same day?

Wish I knew. Even before Covid the system was bogged down. Dudes spending years in county jails without trial just don't make sense.
