If you are calling game discs "cds" still I'm not sure you're ready for gaming at all, bruh...

CDs. Good points
  1. Work without internet connection
  2. Work when your online account is banned.
  3. Can sell the game on, share it with anybody.
  4. Can take the game to any machine, not tied to your account.
  5. Can often be cheaper than digital
Bad points
CDs are fragile. Can be scratched and broken. Have to go out to buy or order online and wait.

Digital

Good points.

Convenient. Downloads instantly (depends on your internet speed). Guaranteed to get the game day 1 if pre-ordered. Tied to your account so if your console breaks you can redownload the game. Game share, you share a game without your breh claiming that he lost the game or his fat gf sat on it.

Digital bad points

Game is tied to your account so you can't share it with anyone besides select friends. If your account gets banned, wave goodbye to your game.
Digital games are often more expensive than physical copies.
