from memory... don king n jose sulaiman( mauricio's daddy) was potnas n business partners don king had the wbc in his pocket..he could get jose to strip titles u gotta visit the history of don king n the wbc...u would look at them n mike tyson different
but yeah
when buster won the fight... don tried to convinced the wba n wbc to withhold recognizing that buster was the champ
hell don tried to get the wbc to not pay the referee if he didn't support king's protest..
wba n wbc eventually acknowledged buster
fast forward holyfield walks thru buster bowe holyfield was in talks
wha king do.. get jose try n strip holyfield of the wbc title because king wanted him to fight razor rudduck..holyfield took em to court
keep in mind mike is doing 6yrs in prison
king thing was he was gone keep razor as the wbc champion.. wbc in his pocket he will never fight a mandatory ..until mike come home mike has already ran over razor twice...back to back
shyt didn't happen titles changed hands 5-6 times...since holyfield got beat...the other titltes didn't matter to king all he wanted was the wbc...bowe had it lost it.. lennox got it ..lost it.. oliver mccall got it ...
