Purchased in 1997, but never used. Make an offer

But to tell the truth, me and the homies were ridin' around in cars with cheap ass audio setups, so we didn't give a fukk about mixing lol

I liked it :mjlol: . It added to the rawness. A bunch of non rapping ass nikkas rapping over production all over the place

I was in middle school up north during the peak of No Limit so i didn't understand them until i moved to Georgia in high school. Its just some straight tribal smoking weed, fukk shyt up music. It being glossy and shiny sounding woulda just fukked up the vibes.

What is the purpose/process of mixing and what exactly does it do…

Clarity? Sharpness/make it seem hifi?

.
Pretty much. Listen to the difference in one of these No Limit songs vs a Dr. Dre song/beat.
Everything sounds perfectly leveled, smooth listen, easy on the ears.

Like someone said tho, not all types of music need to be mixed “perfectly”. Sometimes it’s gotta sound grimy to match the actual song. Sometimes you want the speakers to shake in nikkas cars when they listen so you turn the bass up
