As a kid this was my favorite show and the first two seasons knocked it out of the park. They did an excellent job of prioritizing the life of a teenage girl in relation to saving the world. The fact that she fell in love with a Vampire was also an ironic wrinkle. The Master was a great villain. The casting was great & the script was amazing

Then the shyt fell off a cliff

Season 3 had some interesting stuff but overall it was downhill for sooo many reasons.

Buffy started fukking another vampire?
Willow became a voodoo priest?
Xander didn’t go to college?
All the kids fighting the principal demon for season 3 finale?
Angel just magically came back from hell?
Buffy dated a fake Winter Soldier?
Buffy had a sister we never knew about it till like season 5?

I think the show really lost something when Cordelia & Angel left

Season 3
Season 4
Season 5
Season 6
Season 7

Garbage

I disagree. Obviously the show was going to lose a little something with the exit of those characters. But the show still had solid seasons. The high school years were fantastic. That's season 1-3.

Season 3 was definitely so so compared to the first two seasons. I always liked the idea of Faith representing Buffy rebelling from her responsibilities as slayer since she still was a kid. I never understood the idea of Angel randomly being dropped from Hell but whatever. What really ruined it for me was The Principal angle ending up in a season finale where he turns into some big monster and the graduating class fends him off...Huh??

:mjlol:

Season 1 & 2 made sense. Season 1 was the forming of a team/world. Season 2 was Buffy realizing she couldn’t have the normal existence everyone else got to. Part of the charm of it too was all the battles for the most part was happening under the town’s nose. The idea of being a slayer was a secret identity as it should have been. Somewhere down the line the show lost that

Whole thread is :dahell:

Seasons 1-5 were varying degrees of dope. I wasn't a kid when I watched it (I was 21 when it started) so I never had it on a pedestal to begin with.

People really thought Buffy died and the show was over after season 5. Honestly, it should've been because Joss Whedon bounced to do "Firefly" and let Marti Noxon run the show into the ground.

Anyway, "Angel" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "Buffy".

Fred.
