And its not that close. Buddy had some of the greatest defenses in the NFL but didn't come close to winning a title. He was never able to maximize Randall Cunningham's abilities neither.

Rex Ryan consistently underachieved with great defenses in New York and now Buffalo, and his brother Rob is simply living of the Ryan name. Yet both are still coaching and Rex still gets hailed as a defensive genius :mjpls:

Not really sure how getting Mark Sanchez to two afc championship games is underachieving. If anything the guy overachieved out of the gate and put a heightened sense of expectation from himself and just failed to live up to his own hype after that.

He shouldn't have been hired straight away after being fired though. The guy would probably be the best defensive coordinator in the league, but I wouldn't want him anywhere near my head coaching position. A slightly better version of that fakkit Pagano.

Only Rob is Overrated. Buddy wasn't head coaching material, but as a D Coordinator he was :wow:

Buddy was a great DC and did a good job with the Eagles. The Cardinals however.... :francis:

Rex.... ehh. He's not a head coach but he can gameplan a defense.

Rob is very overrated.

He made mark Sanchez and Tyrod Taylor look decent. Can't be that bad . And I wouldn't mind havin any as a dc

This is false. What actually happened was after the two playoff runs Rex and Mr. T got too cocky. Rex thought he could coach anyone and in the process they got rid of a lot of pieces that made those early teams solid.

maybe you know better than me, but those first 2 years hes defenses were wild, afterwards not so much. He went to buffalo that had a good D and turned it mediocre :yeshrug:
