The omani/Yemeni slave trade was restricted to certain parts of Africa (mainly the so called 'Zanj'). Islamically (as in according to the actual legal texts) it was illegal as it was strictly for profit. Raiding defenseless people for the purpose of capturing slaves is illegal as is maiming human bodies (castrations etc).

Only captives of war can become slaves. This is why slavery in Muslim countries didn't have a color code for most of our history (until omani and Yemeni merchants began raiding Bantu villages). There millions of European, Arab, Persian slaves scattered throughout the Islamic world.

In fact, slavery in general never had a color code until the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Certain Muslim states did all types of immoral BS which is against the law. Caliphs would wipe out their own brothers and their entire families for instance. They would ally with Christian invaders against Muslim rivals etc.. point is, they were hardly representative of Islam as a religion.

This forum isn't flooded with arab islam enslaving Blacks. Most conversation from the prospective of people living in the western hemisphere is primarily relegated to 'white' on 'black' while the arab islam slavery is never taught or even mentioned. If you asked the average person about it they probably wouldn't know about it. Lastly, who are you to try and tell people what they can and can't discuss especially a people's history?
