i mean the movie was no training day, but i rewatched it the other day and this was a pretty good fukkin movie.
wesley snipes w one of the best performances he had in years. plus, mad jewels got dropped in that movie about the law/how the cops themselves feel about it, ie gettin treated like shyt while the ppl at the top keep all the bust money. remeber when snipes was gettin off the phone with his lawyer, after the lawyer told him the DA was gonna retry him for a 10 year old crime? and how he was like 'im puttin his fukkin grandkids thru college'? that was one of the most powerful scenes in the movie to me
makes you think about how these crooks in the 'justice system' just switch from prosecutin criminals to defending them. i mean morally, how can you go from being someone who tries to convict people of crimes to a lawyer who gets the same people off ? shyt is purely about the money and they just exploit these connections while we all lose
