Former three division world champion Adrian Broner says he deeply regrets his verbal assault on Jay Z, the founder of Roc Nation Sports - a management and promotional company which is making big moves in the boxing industry.
As we previously reported, Broner verbally fired off at Jay Z -- claiming he was incredibly insulted by a 5-year, $40 million dollar promotional offer from Roc Nation Sports.
In fact, he appeared on "TMZ Hollywood Sports" and reaffirmed his directive that Jay could "suck his d*ck."
But now, Broner says he spoke with someone he refers to as "The Big Homie" -- who explained why he was wrong to go after Jay and ... and now he wants to make things right.
"I'm a man at the end of the day," Broner says ... "I'm wrong and I can admit when I'm wrong. Not everyone can admit that they're wrong, but I'm wrong for handing the situation like that."
As for his explanation, Broner says ... "You never invite another man to another man's private part. That's just ridiculous. I was caught up in the moment and I want to apologize to Jay for that."
Broner says if Jay wants to talk, he's open to having a conversation.
"If Jay wants to talk to me, he can contact me and we can talk about it, but I just had to get it off my chest as a man," Broner said.
