First of all, I don't know how they do it up there in Canadian, but here in America, you're sposed to have diversity in your work force, It would seem that all his barbers are muslim or else this wouldn't even be a problem. He's conducting his business that serves the public and is discriminating based on gender, it doesn't matter to me that he is using his religion to justify it, you can use religion to justify almost anything.. Unless it's some private membership barbershop, it sounds illegal(see private golf clubs that are men only). These things are all gray areas anyway, its just my opinion.

They can't always refuse down here, either, though. Different states have different laws, and the impact of Civil Rights legislation is constantly being reinterpreted and having new precedents set as to what constitutes discrimination.
