According to the firm’s sell-through figures, the latest iteration in the series has moved 49% more copies than “the previous fastest-seller”, NBA 2K11.

“This record-shattering growth is due in part to the expanding global popularity of the NBA 2K brand, which accounted for a 66% increase in international sales as compared with NBA 2K11,” said the firm.

The number of online users for 2K13 has more than doubled from last year’s NBA 2K12. In addition, the number of played online games “has also grown exponentially,” as NBA 2K13 has experienced a 127% increase over last year’s totals.

Yeah, 2K13 is the best basketball game I've ever played. That being said, it's plagued with issues. EA won't take this lying down, so it's going to be interesting seeing the battle on the next gen unfold. I predict EA is going to come out swinging. Regardless, the best game will always get my money, and 2K absolutely obliterated EA this gen.

Played my first 2 games online last night vs @The G.O.D II and @beaniemac

yeah, this shyt is fire.

The little things is what they do so fukkin great on this game. Live is forever in the bushes, 2K got the game on lock.

My only fear is while they are clearly the best, what more can they possibly fukkin do! I fear for real time physics in this game in the future.

The EA basketball series started this shyt and changed the game so they forever will have a place in a nikka's heart, but Visual Concepts/2K done dropped that Napalm on EA NBA bball and it's a wrap for them nikkaz forever I fear.

even if another company came out with a game, there is such a HUGE fukking gap that they'd need to close in a short amount of time that makes it damn near impossible.

But Loose is right in the fact that 2K's servers are so hit and miss right now. It's like their projections for server load are so understated it's rediculous. Their current piece of shyt servers can't handle all the traffic and matchmaking and it's fukking shyt up.

Outside of last night, I think the server's have been excellent. Much better than previous years where it was damn near impossible to go online during launch week.

fukk it its worth it..

I traded in NCAA 13,2k11 and 12 to GameStop, only had to pay 25 might be a rip off

few glitches but for the most part best basketball video game i've ever played.
