The scale only changed by about 2 lbs since last Wednesday but I had a cheat meal Sunday and I know that sodium holds onto to water so that causes an influx.

Last time this happened it took 4 days and my weight changed.

I'm stressing....hoping I didn't gain....or lose less than projected.

I should be losing 3 per week :patrice:

Depends on your level of activity and a lot of other details.

3 per week is agressive

I'm heavier so I don't think 3 isn't aggressive for me yet.......I think.

I'm above 250 lbs
It depends. I don't know enough to say it is or isn't but be careful. Ultimately that isn't all pure fat loss.

Only thing losing water weight is useful for is if your competing in a sport or something. You'll just put the weight back on when you rehydrate, it isn't sustainable

If you're tryin to burn fat it's goin to take longer
Nah. I gained 10 lbs from water weight 2 weeks ago and then 4 days later my fat loss showed correctly.
Lol.
That's what I am talking about.
I know how to burn fat but I had a cheat meal and the high sodium, among other things, caused my weight to fluctuate.
I'm done with cheat meals. Not worth it.

How are you even measuring fat loss to know that?

I weighed in this morning and I'm back to normal :blessed:

Never doing sodium ass cheat meals again because that water weight really makes me feel like I'm falling off :wow: :mjcry:

You're good homey. 1 to 3 days is normal for retaining water weight is normal especially if you're losing fat. That's the process. The scale will go down when you lose fat and back up again when with water replacing the fat molecules in your adipose tissue (ie the cells that hold fat). When the water leaves your adipose tissue then and only then will your adipose tissue shrink and perhaps go through apoptosis (cell death)

Losing weight is a battle against your lower brain stem because its on a different page than your forebrain (the place where free thought happens). The lower part of your brain is only concerned with homeostasis and keeping your body running as effeciently as possible. That nikka is still in caveman survival mode

That's why when you do too much long distance cardio for a long time you'll lose muscle. It'll basically be like hey, I have a good idea! I can expend less chemical energy on these long ass runs by decreasing muscle mass. :troll:. fukk yo dreams losing fat while staying muscled up

:umad:

Reason I even bothered mentioning that is because you need your cheat meals to keep your lower brain from going into conservation mode. You don't wanna give up on them completely. You should look up the "whoosh effect".

Okay you're trying to teach me something I already know but thanks for your help

@The ADD asking a good question though. You got fat calipers?

The scale is good for monitoring but fat calipers tell a better consistent story.

Matter of fact check out @The ADD log on this sub forum. I swear that brother could make fitness memoir out of it :whew:

I didn't take offense at all bro LOL

I just think we were both having two different conversations... I was talking about water weight but I understand what you are saying and that is a good point look at my post above this or below this and that is how I measure my fat loss

Yeah he right about checking fat.... I use a tape measure around my waist and my arms and my upper body I use the scale to check my weight loss and I also literally of shirts that I haven't been able to fit for like a year and a half that I'm able to fit in now and they feel more roomy and they actually feel longer in my waist is getting smaller because my pants fit better and they're not so tight in the upper thigh area

I have a few ways I am measuring at this moment
