Simple breh: go see the movies she's in. She's awesome in beyond the lights and I haven't watched belle yet but it's sitting on my DVR. But she's still relatively fresh so she's got time. She's got a few high profile joints coming up this year and next and she just became a member of the academy this weekend

....u gotta be viola davis type excellence to be a black actress getting work these days and thats just the truth. As horrible as those tyler perry movies are they are the only things that can get a black actress a job and noticed...she will probably have to go the tv route (again) since thats where it seems black actresses are eating at rn
