Buy a cheap laptop ($300-$400)

Buy an 8GB ram stick (or 2 if your laptop can take 16gb) - $40 or $80

Buy a SATA II or SATA III SSD Drive - Price depends on size

Buy an external enclosure - $10

Open Laptop

Replace regular HDD with SSD, Upgrade the Memory

Close Laptop

Reinstall Windows and all that other bullshyt lightning fast

Put your hard drive that you just took out from the laptop and use it as external storage.

I just bought an ASUS X401A (Green) Laptop for $300 @ best buy last week and I am doing the same thing. The shyt is going to be FLYING soon AND has USB 3.0
