idk breh i don't have asthma but I do know Shannon the Cannon was able to win a heavyweight title w asthma so it's not impossible. :wow:

This might be a conversion you should be having with your doctor in regards to what you can do before hand to prevent any issues.

It’s been said already but breathing through your nose also cools your lungs better.

Read close your mouth or the authors other book.

Butekyo breathing is supposed to help with asthma. Google it. Hope it helps.

with asthma..obviously the medication that you would take for preventive measures may come up in drug tests if you get to the level of fighting in bigger tournaments and shyt so thats another thing to keep in the back of your head

Anyone know of any good breathing techniques for someone who fights?

@krackdagawd @patscorpio @Mowgli
I don't know what an asthmatic should do.

Alot of your breathing training should be done in training and should be on a rythm. Breath with your bounce

Then you have to test your limits. Different for everyone

Take body shots in training and see how you handle it

If everything seems to be good but you have a damn panic attack in the ring .....maybe you just shook

Can you junp rope for 12 rounds without using your inhaler

Don't hold your breath when you punch, breath out.

Yikes. All you can do is take the Drs advice and slowly test and build your limitations

I imagine there's levels to asthma and no one size fits all solution

Meaning i forget to breath when I punch sometimes.
Jesus. Yeah ur bodying yourself. That's why when boxers punch u hear that deliberate TSHTSHTSH

Id say breath deliberately until it feels more natural because if ur not getting oxygen to your body at a moment your exerting Alot energy suddenly ull step back and suddenly feel that gasp effect or ull suddenly be sucking crazy wind with your mouth wide open.
