I'm not going to lie.
I didn't see the curveball with this DEI initiative.
I don't agree but understand the notion of not placing emphasis on race, sex, etc. However, cases like the Tuskegee Airman is American History, not DEI. Just like the lipstick line Target dropped that was black owned. They could have kept the product on the shelves and removed the black owned signs. Trump and his conservative machine pulled a pretty slick chess move.
How though?
Everyone with eyes should’ve seen what this was going to lead up to.
Like, people actually thought it was about that other shyt included in DEI? They started this movement as a fearmongering tactic to outrage white people in Florida first… got rid of teaching black history
And like another person said, it worked.
Now, these white boys think they will do better based off “merit” when it will be just because youre white.
If you're good at your job and talented, they will come to you. Especially since white people in general start life ahead of the game here just off of skin color
Now, they don’t want you to learn about ANY minority accomplishments.. especially blacks since we have actually accomplished the most here generally out if any other minority group
I wonder what the black airmen think.. I might call a few and ask later
