Elon Musk has now attempted to drag Taylor Swift into his "Nazi salute" scandal following his controversial speech at Donald Trump's inauguration.
The Tesla CEO has been hit with fierce backlash online this week after during his speech he raised his arm in a manner that drew comparisons to the infamous gesture associated with Nazi Germany. After being hit with a wave of hate online for the seemingly offensive move, Elon attempted to defend himself by sharing a series of screenshots of prominent figures doing a similar raised-arm gesture on X, formerly Twitter.
In one repost, Elon attempted to drag pop sensation Taylor into the mix as he reposted a screenshot of the singer with her arm raised in a similar fashion with the caption: "My god. Not her too." And while the 35-year-old artist appeared to be doing saluting in a similar way, Swifties were quick to debunk the rumors and share footage of the original video.
Under the thread, one fan shared the original clip of the Grammy award-winning singer in which she was actually seen using her left arm and blowing a kiss to her fans. But Elon's attempts to point fingers at other celebrities didn't stop there, the businessman also reposted screenshots on X of Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton, Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren all doing a similar saluting gesture.

In the past few days following the controversy, Elon has made multiple attempts to defend himself and hit back at his critics. In another post, Elon wrote: "The 'everyone is Hitler' attack is sooo tired," he added, expressing his sentiment with a sleeping emoji, "Frankly, they need better dirty tricks."
This comes as Elon has recently grown close with Trump after donating nearly $300 million to the politician's campaign efforts ahead of his election win in November. After Trump's election win, Trump announced Elon would be added to his panel to lead the Department of Government Efficiency alongside Vivek Ramaswamy. But in a recent turn of events it has been revealed that Elon will now be the sole leader of the department because Ramaswamy bowed out of the project to run for governor of Ohio.
