Mario Chalmers Agrees To One-Year Deal With Grizzlies

Mario Chalmers has agreed upon a one-year, partially guaranteed deal with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Chalmers sat out all of the 16-17 season recovering from his torn Achilles.

Chalmers last played in the NBA in 15-16 with the Grizzlies.

Great pickup for us, I always wanted Rio back. The best backup pg we've had under Conley, his injury was the reason why the Grizz went into a freefall in 2016. They were still treading water after the Gasol and Conley injuries but once Rio went down that was it.

Rio was hanging around town all last year. I thought I read something about he was working out with the team even tho he wasn't signed.

Backup PG is a spot we desperately needed to sure up. Now we just need a legit PF and Parsons to come back healthy.
