Also have to keep in mind that there are only so many firefighters available(got folks coming in from out of state to help). As bad as it sounds, there are some areas where there really isn't much they can do so it's better to let them burn and worry about the areas you can save.

The worst part about this is the fight people are going to have with insurance companies. Wouldn't surprise me if companies decide not to pay and leave Cali. Home owner Insurance was already a pain to get(coverage and costs). I imagine it's going to be like Florida after this.

Florida getting most of the attention, but companies are now are either no-longer accepting new customers or pulling out of California; there is just less media coverage because Hurricanes are more sudden, and cause more fear in the Media.

Devils Advocate: Insurance is all about risk about something that MIGHT happen. If that MIGHT becomes a LIKELYHOOD, then Insurers will be afraid to underwrite insurance in California because they would be paying out more than taking in premiums.

Yeah I already know. I meant to say more companies leaving. And those that choose to stay, will probably stop offering Fire coverage in their policies sadly.
