we got some rain in the bay, nothing crazy, but every time we had rain and I looked at LA weather, it was 70+ and sunny. LA/socal is much warmer and drier than the bay and real norcal
Very true. The Bay Area hills always look so verdant I comparison to the SoCal hills. The Bay appears to be in the rain belt. But even then, I’ve seen pics of the seasonal differences between the hills around LA in the summer vs how they look in the winter. And they’ve always looked slightly more green and healthy in the winter. With all that rain. Guess it’s been dry as hell in SoCal last couple of years. :picard:

Yearly thing, thankfully I don't live in those rich, hill type areas where these happen. But there is always crazy smog, 4-5 years ago it was bad enough where my classes were cancelled. Only windy for me now but I am sure the ash will show up tomorrow.

My son is still terrified from the fire he saw there almost 6 years ago. Thankfully we weren’t near it, but you could see it in the hills from where we stayed. Woke up the following morning, sky was just red with a haze… ashes were all over our balcony and windows. First time experiencing anything like it. Was just surreal.

Edit: stay safe regardless how close you are. Air quality will be bad
