Brandi blames Kong for Nightmare Collective

Brandi was on Wrestling Observer Live just a few minutes ago and talked about Nightmare Collective and other stuff. Here's some highlights from it:

• Went from being a model for the NAPTE conference and showing people where to sit to delivering her own key note address 8 years later and it was the first ever AEW key note address at that.
  
  
• Nightmare Collective is done for the most part, at least her involvement is.

-Original idea was Awesome Kong managed by Brandi.

• Awesome Kong wanted a gimmick of cutting hair but unfortunately can't work the way she used to be able to so the idea of bringing in others into Nightmare Collective came to be.
  
  
• Brandi said she started not liking it.
  
  
• Brandi saw the fans didn’t like it and she wasn’t liking it so she made the decision to do the therapy session videos.
  
  
• Brandi said she didn’t feel that Luther and Mel was getting what she thought they should have out of it and was hurting them more than anything.

-It was heartbreaking for her when Awesome Kong couldn't wrestle the match at Bash At The Beach because she knew everyone wanted to see Kris Statlander get back at them for the championship match.

• Cody's lashes segement was real to Brandi. She was actually crying from seeing it and everything she said in the segment was straight from the heart.
  
  
• Said she’s a part time wrestler at best. Doesn’t wany to wrestle much and doesn’t want to be a focal point of the women’s division.
  
  
• She doesn't know yet if she will be in Cody's corner at Revolution

Good for her for realizing the shyt was trash and putting an end to it. If it was the big nosed mufukka running developmental on the otherside, we'd be in for another year of it

I really like that she is open about trying a gimmick, it not getting over, trying to tweak it, then bushing it and moving on when it's clear the fans and her don't feel it.

That is how you adapt to a storyline or gimmick that isn't working.

I thought she was just new and green. Come to find out she's been wrestling for 10 years.

Kong must have wanted to do a solid for one of her friends.

shyt sucked & I'm glad their ending it, but they should have figured out a way to do it so that Statlander came out on top rather than just ending it with twitter videos & Mel attacking Kong on Dark. That is the lazy way out that does nothing for anyone unless their going to push terrible ass Mel as a big deal.

Also at blaming it not working on Kong not being able to work the way she used to. Kong's back has been fukked up since 2015, she's 42 years old, & has been part timing it for the last 3 or 4 years. You know you aren't getting the same performer in 2019.
