Wow. I saw the headline but didn't know why they wanted to send them.
As a sovereign country, they should just figure out a way to sell elephant meat and skin and just slaughter the animals. Need nobody's permission to do that. When animal populations explode here, they extend hunting periods or create special hunting periods.

They wont do shyt, just a threat because these Europeans think they have a right to stick their long hooked noses in Black people shyt and tell us how to manage our own stuff.

Botswana underrated
Would actually be smart to sell them to other African countries that want to revive their elephant populations.
They gave 10s of 1000s to Mozambique once to restock after the war.
Yeah I'm in Uganda right now they could use some elephants
I know Ethiopia could use some but then again most of them acting brutish as fukk towards each other so I know them elephants would prolly get slaughtered.

Govt. should have earmarked some of the first year's revenue for a dedicated point man/team for the elephant hunting industry. Tracking the population in their country, and others, the developments in the game hunting industry, the animal conservation industry,and potential uses for elephant products.
Population skyrocketing seems to point to no such dept. in Botswana.
Even holding all the cards and leverage, Botswana fumbled the dynamics of the relationship with white outsiders.
