Pretty sure it's about a recent CA supreme court ruling about felons and gun ownership. Even if he was convicted or pleaded guilty, it opens them up for a reversal on appeal.

Charges for the same thing twice? How’s that possible

I don't understand it exactly, but the judge dismissed the case, not the US Attorney's Oiffce. So, they refile an amended indictment and hope it goes to a judge that is more conservative.

They also added a charge, which is possession of a firearm, while being a drug addict, basically. which is similar to Hunter Biden's recent conviction.

But doesn’t fall under the same reasons for the dismissal? The particular law is bullshyt and shouldn’t be anymore.

It's up for the judge to decide, is how I understand it. They can file the same motion with this judge. whoever it gets assigned to, and they can either dismiss it or not. There's like a dozen judges or so, and they all have different beliefs in how to interpret law. Or maybe they dismiss the first count and keep the drug addict charge. Boosie acting a fool didn't help. Cutting off his monitor and all the social media posts.

but the US Attorney,Tara McGrath, under Biden is more on the liberal side, they have prioritized human trafficking indictment/cross border, but not really the kind of "hard on crime" cases that were more common under the last admin. Like indicting dozens and dozens of low level drug dealers. So, if she signed off on this, they want him. and they think they can get it.
