Was just thinking about this yesterday when I was watching the Monday night wars episode and they talked about Booker T. This was definitely the series of matches that made me a fan as a young buck. Such dope matches that WCW was giving away for free too. Remember watching one on WCW Saturday night

WCW, because they never finished the WWE series. Orton stepped in for Booker in the last three matches. WCW matches were still better anyway, IMO.

I was always a WWF guy, even during their down years. This series is why I turned to WCW at 8:00 every Monday.

It's one of the things I vividly remember about '98 WCW. As a kid at the time, it was cool to see a black wrestler who was a crowd favorite go over the buzzsaw who was also a crowd favorite.
