PTA's first masterpiece.

A flawless film. It's like the most perfect blend of Scorsese and Altman. On steroids.

Few films capture life so richly. Every scene is so visceral. I can't think of many films that capture so many emotions and styles. It's vibrant, beautiful, hilarious, bleak, epic, intimate and poignant.

The fake coke deal :noah::whew:

Buck at the Donut Shop :russ:

The pedo film producer :merchant: :wtf:

THAT final shot :what: :heh:

And technically? shyt is just ridiculous on every level.

That opening steadicam shot? :ooh:

The camera going underwater at the pool party :mindblown:

Salute PTA the Gawd :bow:

The use of The Beach Boys God Only Knows is one of my favorite uses of a song in a film. It's a perfect way to close the film.

Also, the casting of Burt Reynolds was perfect.

Burt Reynolds killed it. He shouldve won that Oscar. "Would you like to fukk Roller Girl?"

Great Flick all around though from start to finish. I loved how it was so over the top but yet so real and believable
