That was one of the main reason I hated Lashley returning to the E and was against it.
I thought he was a solid MMA heavyweight. He wasn’t getting hotshotted like Brock.... he was organically getting better.
I legit think he would’ve at some point been the Bellatar champ and maybe would’ve got a UFC run.
TNA allowed him to still do MMA and I think most other companies the same. But Vince don’t let his “independent contracted” wrestler even take a piss without his permission

He was with America’s Top Team camp and they like one of the best camps to be in in MMA, the Blackzillians are another.
So I think they would’ve definitely got him right.
Not to mention..... atleast for that era.... Bel didn’t really have too many MONSTER HW.
A lot of those guys was in UFC, so the talent there.... I think he could’ve beaten or been very competitive with.
Hell seeing Ryan fukking Bader as the HW champ and a Champ Champ had me like
Lashley could’ve been the face of Bel but you right Coker ain’t really push him that heavy.
He Brock won 1 fight and they was pushing him at a top 3 HW guy at the time

And last year.... I believe in December Dana did say they need to cut about 60 fighters.
They have yet to reach that number so I’m sure Woodley probably getting that call any day now
