He was a solid nba and mlb play-by-play announcer. He had deep knowledge and interest in most sports( basketball, football, boxing, hockey etc) but it was obvious that baseball was his main passion.

I hope he finds peace and enjoyment in retirement.

His call of the Kobe to Shaq dagger alley oop dunk play in game 7 of the 2000 WCF between the lakers and the blazers was legendary.
