Blue Omen Operation is a 2D action-command RPG with a battle system that emphasises timing and reflexes, inspired by beloved classics like the Paper Mario Series, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and even a little WarioWare.

Precise Skill Maneuvering
The biggest part of Blue Omen is the role-playing aspect - as a story-driven RPG, we want to bring our own brand of bizarre to the table, with an overworld filled to the brim with unique characters and critters for the player to encounter.

Those childhood memories of purchasing a game for the art alone; slotting it in and booting it up without knowing what to expect, only to be introduced to a unique and exciting RPG world waiting to be explored - this is the type of feeling we want to recreate.

Official Update #3: Parry, Enemies, and Intro! + Backer stuff!

just kidding folks :-)

It's been almost two months again since our last update, which is probably gonna be the standard time frame between each update now.

So what the hell have we been up too? Lets start off with some basic progress!

New Battle Effects!
With updated animations you need some proper effects to really drive home the weight of each action!

Parry Attacks!
Parrying is back! We have removed the ability to block all together because dodging is always easier! With parrying you have to land the attack before the enemy has finished their attack, if they do finish they just block it. Some might even have the chance to attack again if they block it! Yet if you can parry right when the enemy attacks, you will initiate a CLASH depending on how fast you are allows you to do a combo on them! This is for the players who have excellent timing!

Cacti Brawler!
A new enemy! Cacti Brawler! These guys are ranged enemies who love to throw cacti clubs at people just as much as they love hugging cacti! They are able to either lob the club or throw it straight at either Jiro and Yagiko!

Gulpinoko!
Gulpinoko, the chubby snake! They are also ranged enemies who spit up whatever they have in their bellies at Jiro and Yagiko! They are pretty dang cute though.
