First saw this movie back when I was in high school the very year it was released

It’d been a minute since I watched this but I’m rewatching it now

It holds up really well; great movie.

It was a wild ride; from him starting with selling weed to him selling coke and bring a fugitive more than once

George lived a crazy life

Moral of the movie: Reveal business secrets and steal women from brehitos crehs :beli:.

Great movie though. The scenes with the father were sad as hell, and I felt like punching Penelope through the screen.

The meeting Pablo scene :ohlawd:

That scene when he’s recording his goodbye message to his dad :sadbron:

“May the wind always be at your back and the sun always upon your face, and the winds of destiny to carry you aloft to dance with the stars” :mjcry:

It has a lot of strong elements, including excellent performances by all the leads and supporting

and it's a classic if you are in your 30's, and came up in that era. I remmeber watching this on DVD from Blockbuster with my homie in 9th grade.

And just 2 years later, it was kind of a cult classic, to throw on while smoking blunts, and often even doing cocaine in my circle of friends.

but it isn't quite daring or deep, or funny enough to be as good as it should be, given the scope and depth of teh story, and the acting. it's very streamlined and neat as a narrative. But, maybe I should watch again.
