Just started watching season 1. Is this shyt worth it?

I'm 5 episodes into the 1st season but I feel like the shyt is dragging. Like, I like the story but I'm still not completely sure what they shyt is all about.

Season 1 is cool the rest are dog shyt.
This show wins the award for 'writing yourself into a corner you can't get out of' award. I feel the same way about Homeland but that shyt is still on TV so . . .

Season 1 is phenomenal tv. Goes down in season 2 and season 3 is awful.

He took his sister and brother (the cop) out on the boat. They had some sort of accident killing his sister. After his sister was pronounced dead the Dad beat the shyt out of him. The cop brother and lawyer sister and Mom lied to the police about the incident saying the Dad didn't do shyt. That's why he hates all of them.

I think the outcast brother was at fault for his sister's death but it was an accident. He didn't do it on purpose. No, the lawyer sister lied to. I don't think the youngest boat rental business brother knows tho.
