Part blame director/Wesley

Director and studio wanted to shove Reynolds/Biel in our faces and push Blade in the bushes( even though the movie is called BLADE damn! :damn: )

Partly Wesley who was getting too big and his ego prob got in the way...

They clashed and the only reason the movie came out were prob contractual obligations... shame tho:stopitslime:

Blade Tragedy

I stand by Snipes like Wesley Da Gawd. People saw the first movie off of Snipes star-power at the time, and he is the film version Blade period. He created the weapons, brought in his fight/stunt team; he also was the executive producer for all three movies. On Blade Tragedy the Studio/Goyer didn't give him his executive producer creative control like Blade 1 & 2. We see how Blade Tragedy came out though.

New Line Cinema created the mess that ultimately tarnished Snipes' reputation. They nuked the first treatment of the film because it was deemed too expensive. Originally was supposed to be set long after the sequel with an older Blade in a world where the vampires essentially won. Goyer rewrites the script and along with New Line, heavily features Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel. It was supposed to set up the Darkstalkers series which thankfully never took off. Wesley caught wind of the studio writing him off so he made working on the film as unpleasant as possible.

Alternate ending:

I like how they throw around that Snipes is a method actor stuff for all three movies, but it wasn't an issue with Blade 1 & Blade 2 though since those films were successful. NewLine/Goyer/Cast only have problems with Snipes on Blade Tragedy once the film did not do well. B: Tragedy had the highest film budget but looked the worst out of the three films.

Messed up that Snipes career hasn't been the same since while people like Goyer/Reynolds get unlimited chances even with many flops, just because they look a certain way.

It was his ego BUT in his defense he had a lot of creative input in the series. The director should have been flexible enough to use Snipes input while mixing with his own vision of Blade Trinity.
