This post made me realize that black women are under represented in the media. If they are shown they are shown in a negative light (i.e gabby sidibe)
In particular natural haired and dark-brownskin black women under 40 are severely underrepresented.
All we have is Keke palmer.
This thread is dedicated to black actresses under 40 who need MORE exposure. There is a HUGE MARKET for black women and girls.

Imani Hakim is a black actress that first arrived on the scene via everybody hates chris, she has recently returned with new roles under her belt in the movie Chocolate City, and The Gabby Douglas story.
Teyonah Parris, she recently played in Mad Men, and is now in a show called Survivors Remorse
Aja Naoimi King, is an actress that stars in How to get away wit murder, she was previously on a CW show called Emily Owens MD
Serayah Mcneill is not an actress per say but she is singer/actress that got her big break on Fox hit show Empire
