Twitter is teeming with criticism of talk show host
Wendy Williams for remarks she made during her show about historically black colleges and the NAACP.
Williams, 51, who hails from Ocean Township, had been addressing the controversy over actor and activist
Jesse Williams' recent speech at the BET Awards on Wednesday's episode of "The Wendy Williams Show."
"His speech was very poignant, on one hand," Williams said. "On the other hand, you know, I would be really offended if there was a school that was known as an historically white college. We have historically black colleges. What if it was the National Organization for White People only? There's the NAACP."
