Having grown up in Cape Town and Johannesburg, I've observed that it's ALWAYS the average looking, socially awkward,lower middle class, low ranking(within the white social hierarchy) white person that all of a sudden "embraces black culture" and is sent to the top of the Black Charts just for being a white person who "gets it"

Because of some long time friendships i know ALOT of southern africans (including botswana, lethoso, etc)
I peeped that despite the history there they have VERY good relationships with white people, even marrying them disproportionately imo
The white lady I use to have in my profile pic was a white south african that lives around my way that I met cause the black south africans I know had their head up her ass so much. This white south african makes money now..in the US...performing traditional south african music. Her biggest (only it seems) supporters here are black south africans who be packing all her shows
I don't get it personally. If I'm a 45 yr old south african who lived under apartheid in my lifetime it's no way in hell I'm marrying a afrikaan/dutch. Don't give a fukk how nice and "down" they are

I'm not a South African, but you could say the same for any black ethnic group around the world.

Black people, in general, dont really have a problem with whites.

We talk alot of shyt, but white people arent scared of nikkas.

Back during slavery and colonial times - there were stories of white men suffering from cardiovascular issues because of the constant stress of revenge and backlash from the Africans they subjugated.... sometimes they couldnt even sleep at night from the stress.

Nowadays - white people sleep good... they aint worried about nikkas - anywhere on the planet.

The scary thing is that the older(35 - 55 years old) and the younger (30 and under) are equally c00nish.

I'm not surprised by ANYTHING black South Africans do anymore.
I remember in High School, there was this skinny blonde white girl, Amy.
She really really liked me and made it obvious, but I wasn't into average white girls (if I'm gonna smash out the race, it better be a baddie)... Understood. Half of my family is damn near biracial , mostly due to location(i hope). So I get it. And one of the reasons I never bought this up to my SA friends is cause I expect them to say exactly what you said and I have no quantifiable data to back anything up.....
But you probably need to just be around it to see why I view it differently. In certain instances where a black american would be like South africans really embrace it and even kiss the white person ass even more. People like Malema seem to be in the minority over there.
(sadly SA seem to have more smoke for nigerians and zim refugees than the whites in their country)
