Album was solid and still gets some play to this day.......my only beef was the length. Had he left some of the filler off, and toned down the guest appearances, it could have been near-classic.

I meant the song specifically. But I hear you:ehh:

My life story isn't nearly like Rob's, but the general themes of the song, for anyone who went through it with their Mom, getting thrown out, forgiveness, redemption, guilt, and pain......it's a tough listen sometimes.

"I've died inside so many times.....I know I haven't been the best...I showed you things, you shouldn't have seen...."

For me, though, it's not my Mom, but me, who fukked up.

The steel drums on Jasmine were perfection.:ohlawd:

I think I really cottoned on to 'Life Story' around 02.

A few albums have made me literally :ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:when I heard them after sleeping on them for a long ass time. This was one of them. Same with G-Dep 'Child Of The Ghetto'.

I think I copped them both on sale too. Rob's storytelling was incredible. I know he did the cover of Children's Story - but how have we never got a Slick Rick / Black Rob song? shyt would be cinematic:whoo:

As far as I'm concerned, Life Story was flawless. :wow:
