Black Rims

Ok, I moved to Chicago about 8 months ago from Phoenix. Nobody had black rims in Phoenix...nobody. I drive around Chi and it seems like everybody has black rims. Are dark rims that new shyt, or is it just a midwest/Chi thing?

shyt looks nice, but it just seems like this trend came outta nowhere. Insights?

They have an official site they sell glosses and such make them shyts shine like mirrors you can get it at home depot or napa
