If you didn't watch Hannibal's new show, I recommend it. Pretty funny first episode.

I watched HB show.... And I'm a fan, saw him live earlier this year and will again if he comes back.

But this 1st ep wasn't good, he gotta come correct following Key & Peele

I have faith tho

My sentiments exactly, but I don't agree with the having faith part. Not because I don't think he can do it, but because I think his comedic talents are wasted in this format. Him on Broad CIty playing a relative straight-man is where his bread should be buttered.

I think he needs to be in a scripted comedy show. Single cam, cable. Him and somebody else he can play off. Someone with more energy.

Yeah, I like Hannibal and didn't really find much of the episode funny at all. Hopefully it improves as time goes on.

like I said, I thought it was solid

his ramblings in the middle had me rolling and the skit with Amy was pretty funny too, he just ended on a weak note with that wack july 8th celebration and song :francis:

I saw some real potential though

He had a couple skits in the episode that show he could pull off exactly what you're talking about.

Because the format of it is so flexible he could put himself in infinite crazy situations or interact with crazy characters, like Amy for example

Breh, we have to stop with this "auto-support black shyt" mentality. It doesn't help the quality. As a matter of fact it hurts it.

If we don't hold our TV and Film to a high standard we won't ever get good TV or Film. I want Hannibal to succeed, I think he's among the best of the new breed, but I don't want him stuck doing this subpar show for 5 years when he's better than it.

If the "auto-support" mentality was a thing back in the late 90's, Chappelle would have been stuck doing a studio audience sitcom with Jim Breuer about "one black friend, one white friend" for 5+ years and we never would have got the Chappelle Show.
