To me the base was pretty good, but way too short, buggy, and they didn't allow replays of it for some reason. The fixed all of that though, patched the bugs and allowed for replay, plus all the story DLC's have added more meat to the game. i don't mess with online stuff.
They're doing a spiderman dlc at some point too.

It’s all free, the character + the story. The only things you can pay real money for in Avengers is cosmetics that don’t affect gameplay (costumes n shyt)
