June is known as Black Music Month and I thought it would be fun to make a thread each day using this template to discuss different Black music related to the questions here.

Yesterday's Thread is here if you want to participate: Black Music Month Challenge Day 9: What's a song that reminds you of your parents??

Today's Challenge: A video you wish you could've been in

Any Missy Elliott video, honestly. It would be interesting to see how she and her team work

I meeeeeeeeeannnnnn

The synopsis behind this era of Jay's videos - 'Hey Papi', 'Give It 2 Me', 'Is That Yo bytch' - was just "If you think for even a millisecond there's enough dimes in the background, there's definitely not enough dimes in the background :yeshrug: "

Wasn't that around the time of the Armadale deal too? It's a miracle that :dame: didn't end up in rehab

Yes. Definitely a lot of video vixens around, all the time and on every set.

Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
Crunk era music video…see if I come out alive :pachaha:
this was the POV version of the crunk experience...lil jon was ahead of his time:wow:

having an independent record label just means you can do wtf you wanted

^any of these, lol

i wanted to be one of the random businessmen birdman exchanged suitcases with in this video ngl

...back when music videos actually had fly models before IG thots and tatted strippers took over rap videos

...remember when the music video director forgot to put in the film in for the "what happened to that boy" video? I just want to see how the first version was shot differently compared to the version we have today

youngins will NEVER know this vibe at a club. The amount of brain damage I've seen dished out cause of Lil Jon is crazy. Plus that video got Webster the gawd in it so it'll always be a fave
