I can't think of many producers OR rappers who have improved more than Black Milk over the last 5 years. When I was younger my barber dropped a jewel on me: he said every year you want to be able to look back at the previous 365 days and be able to point to at least one thing you improved in your life. From simple shyt like learning to drive better to bigger things, like maybe learning more about the stock market or reading up on black history. I always think of that when I heard a new Black Milk joint. I remember when he was mainly a soul loop/sample guy. His raps were aite but nothing special.

Now dude is learning how to play the drums, using live instruments...and his rapping is crazy. He gets all in the pockets of his beats, like a great producer/rapper should.

I can't believe how underrated he is though. Rappers gotta be hearing his beats, you'd think they would be trying to get some heat from him.
