“We will not be killed without reacting”: Showing that ‘Black Lives Matter’ in Brazil, Third March Against the Genocide of Black People mobilizes youth of Salvador, Bahia

The combative policy of repudiation of racism and genocide of the black population React campaign or Is Life, Reaja ou Será Morta (React or You Will Be Killed), mobilized the population to show in the streets the outrage provoked by the cases of brutality in police actions, such as the Cabula massacre, the death of Geovane Mascarenhas and many other blacks from the suburbs on the afternoon of Monday (24) and brought together the black people, young people in its majority who walked through the downtown of Salvador, in the III Marcha Internacional Contra o Genocídio do Povo Negro (Third International March Against the Genocide of Black People). brazil and the domincan should be the best example that blackness cannot be overcome.

There populations are majority mixed black but yet they still praise and idealize whites and blue eyes. Hell brazillians treat blacks worse than white people treat us...

i don't know how this can be overcome they will push for social change but whose to say they will not be at the same place 50 yrs from now.

:salute:to our Brazilian brothers

I always like to remind black people that the difference between an African American, Afro Caribbean, and Afro Latino is a boat ride. Our ancestors were enslaved and forced to work in these regions, but that's not where we're from. We're Africans, and I'm proud to be apart of the Elite :blessed:

Brazilian song

Lyrics -
God of Gods Olodum
Moves the world
africaniza And the gift that makes up the nature's grandeur black reveals
His world does not sadness reigns
Infinite Beauty
The seventh sense of such a legion
Pelourinho is my blackboard of black root Retroto
The simple, divine singing
Brings symbolizing this reason black
Black, black
Black, black
race black
wept in Pelô
Race black
Bahia, Salvador
Blacks

I love our people breh, no matter where they were sent to.

PS. Olodum is Yoruban, you'd like Salvador, lots of African history there.
