Desantis has waged an all out war on black folks in florida, stopped colleges from teaching african american ap courses, racially gerrymandered black congressional districts, use the power of the state to go after black voters and now preventing black people from learning the truth and history about the country. There is no excuse for this, why should black children have to give up their saturdays meant to be outside with friends in the park playing sports or video games to read basic facutal history about slavery, discrimination etc simply because their right wing white supremacist governor doesnt want it to be so, there is no excuse

I agree this is a great initiative by the parents and guardians, but black people pay taxes as well just like everyone why should their children not get a good quality education on history that is factual and accurate when they attend public schools funded with their tax dollars? It shouldn't ever have to come to this at all

The republican conservative governor in florida desantis is the modern day bull connor, he is an open anti black racist and is blatant and unapologetic about it, he tried block african american studies course in colleges claiming it was promoting political agenda, has banned books on rosa parks, MLK in florida, he used state police to embarass and go after black people accusing them of voter fraud a charge that was dismissed in court, he reduced black voting power by racially gerrymandering congressional districts to increase GOP numbers in congress, his entire presidential campaign and governorship has been about being anti DEI,anti woke and just shytting on black people.
