None of my real friends hit up my facebook on my birthday...its all about appearances

Well I do think it is basic courtesy to say thank you if someone took their time to do something (even if it literally takes 3 seconds). There are plenty of days that I will look at the right hand side of my fb, see that it is someone's birthday, and continue on with my day like I didn't even see it. If someone takes the time to do it for me, I appreciate it. Nothing more, nothing less.
