Billy Bob From Varsity Blues Passed Away

On Friday, reports surfaced that Ron Lester, who played Billy Bob in Varsity Blues, was in critical condition. Unfortunately, Lester's agent Dave Bradley has confirmed to EW that Lester has now passed away. The actor was 45 years old at his time of death, and he had been hospitalized for nearly four months in Dallas, Texas.

According to his agent, Lester's cause of death was liver and kidney failure. Lester struggled with his weight and health for numerous years. He had gastric bypass surgery back in 2001 to help drop his weight.

Lester appeared in several TV shows and movies. One of earliest roles was playing Billy Bob in Varsity Blues. Lester also appeared in the TV series Freaks and Geeks, Popular, andSabrina, The Teenage Witch.

Thoughts go out to Lester and his family.

He also played Spatch in Good Burger among other roles

Disappearance of Joe Pichler:

Pichler was last seen on January 5, 2006. Pitchler had been playing cards with some friends, who reported he was in good spirits during the evening.

His car, a silver 2005 Toyota Carolla was found January 9, 2006, at the intersection of Wheaton Way and Sheridan Road. He was reported as officially missing by his family on January 16.

According to his family's statements to the media at the time, the last outgoing call on Pichler's cell phone was placed at 4:08 a.m., on January 5, to a friend who had said that he had been visiting with Pichler earlier in the day. Pichler has been missing for ten and a half years.
