Big Daddy Kane's legacy is tarnished, he wasn't a pro pool player.

So why was he frontin in the Smooth Operator video like he was? Can't believe we gave him a pass back in the day. Plus he had the nerve to wear glasses in the video like he had a vision problem or something. I can't ride for that. What about the people who really do play pool for cash, or people who really do wear prescription glasses? And we're just gonna give Kane a pass because he made good music?

Yes, yes we are. If we held rappers accountable for everything they portrayed in videos we wouldnt have respect for anyone. Nas never wore pink suits, doin business with italians in the desert. Jay z never parties in psychadelic discos with babyface. This is petty.

Even though I'm a fan of rick ross music he carries on all his bullshyt into interviews which is exactly what this thread is about.
It's pretty easy to differentiate between braggadocio rapping and lines in music that are about real life/truth and most rappers don't carry it on into their interviews/off the mic.

Kane was riding the pro pool wave, but real players like Nick Varner and Michaela Tabb gave him a pass
