You serious? No. The dopest R&B songs are usually the ones that tell a story that people can relate to you. And what kind of emotion you expect to be behind "I got hot sauce in my bag"

Adele is overhyped because she is white but she's a dope songwriter. Her music has substance (even if it's depressing as hell sometimes).

Beyonce's music is shallow as hell. She never says anything.
Are you basing this off what you here on the radio?

all music tells a story

Adele songs aren't better written than Beyoncé

Adele is pretty cliche and I'm a fan. Take Hometown Glory for example. It's a dope song because of her voice, but the lyrics go:

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque
I love to see everybody in short skirts, shorts and shades
I like it in the city when two worlds collide
You get the people and the government
Everybody taking different sides

Shows that we ain't gonna stand shyt
Shows that we are united
Shows that we ain't gonna take it
Shows that we ain't gonna stand shyt
Shows that we are united

Round my hometown
Memories are fresh
Round my hometown
Ooh the people I've met
(Do da di di da da da da do do do do oh oh oh yaaaaaa yaa aye)

Nothing is complex about this.

How is Hometown Glory just dope because of her voice? It's dope because she tells a story and paints a somewhat vivid picture of someone revisiting the neighborhood in London where they grew up.

Now compare that with "I got hot sauce in my bag", "I woke up like dis", every single line and word in 7-11, "Can't keep your eyes off my phatty daddy" and almost every song Beyonce has ever released. Her lyrics are terrible.

Meanwhile on Adele's latest album we get lines like:
"Hello, can you hear me? / I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be / When we were younger and free / I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet."
"But when the pain cuts you deep / When the night keeps you from sleeping / Just look and you will see / That I will be your remedy / When the world seems so cruel."
"I'm scared to death if I let you in that you'll see I'm just a phase / Sometimes I feel lonely in the arms of your touch / But I know that's just me cause nothing ever is enough."
"I can't love you in the dark / It feels like we're oceans apart / There is so much space between us / Maybe we're already defeated."
"Sometimes I just feel it's only me / Who never became who they thought they'd be / I wish I could live a little more / Look up to the sky, not just the floor."
"If this is my last night with you / Hold me like I'm more than just a friend / Give me a memory I can use / Take me by the hand while we do what lovers do / It matters how this ends / 'Cause what if I never love again?"

Lyrically, Beyonce's music is trash. She is never saying nothing and you would think with the writing camps she puts together of like 40+ people she would be making much better music
you can stick 40+ ppl together but when the person making the final choice is a dumb as rocks they're just going to pick the simple shyt continuously

Why do you ignore songs like Superpower, Heaven and No angel?

Beyonce can drop 7-11 and then turn right around and drop this

Adele can't.

Because the amount of trash music that Beyonce puts out lyrically far outweighs the few lyrically decent tracks? I will admit that my bias stems from the fact that Beyonce spends her time held up in a house of 40 of the best songwriters out and still puts out garbage stuff lyrically. Considering her means, her music should be way better than it is. Hell Janet Jackson has a discography that embarrasses Beyonce's in the same time frame (so does Mariah's). Nobody is going to hold any Beyonce album in the regard that they do Control, Rhythm Nation, or Velvet Rope.

Beyonce will be remembered as the greatest entertainer of her generation, but her music isn't going to age well at all. Her biggest/most popular songs? Are going to age like milk because they have little to no substance and a ton of goofy pop culture references that are going to make the music seem dated.

And I'm not sure what your point is about Adele. I don't want to hear no 7/11 type trash from Adele.....or any artist. It is possible to make pop(ular) music with substance, she just doesn't 75% of the time.

Beyoncé makes music for her fans not you

"Not aging well" is a shallow rhetorical trick you guys use. Music aging depends on the fans of that music

So when Beyonce and jay z don't overtly support black people ( a bs assertion pushed by opportunistic black people experts and bitter people everywhere) that are fake, sell outs, don't care about black people. When they do speak loudly its also fake, for money not sincere.

Coli logic :skip:
