I love Rex Ryan but it's Bill Belichick and it's not even close. Beli is one of the only coaches to surpass his father coach from his own coaching Tree (Bill Parcells). He's made good defenses using much less talent than Rex Ryan has. I mean let's be honest Rex Ryan basically piggybacked off of Mangini's guys and defensive schemes, same with Buffalo, they already had arguable the best front 7 in the league they just needed help at DB. He helped revolutionize the LB position.

Go look up the Giants defensive gameplan for the Bills in Super Bowl XXV. It's in the Hall of Fame. I like Rex a lot, but if you voted for him :francis::comeon::sitdown:
Most overrated accomplishment ever...Buffalo put up 20 pts in 19 minutes..The Giants won because they used a bruising ball control offense which had the ball nearly 42 minutes..BB has had some awful defenses..96 Pats were 25th, 11 Pats were 31st, the 02 and 05 Pats defenses sucked as well..

Rex Ryan couldn't identify a Malcolm Butler even if he tried

Bellichek wiffed on quite a few draft picks and free agents on defense as well over the years .. I wouldn't say that's his strongpoint either.Last year was the first time in years the Pats had a decent defense largely because of Revis

But I'd put him ahead of Rex because he stopped all time great offenses like Buffalo and the Niners

Rex is a very good defensive mind but his defenses have given up a lot of big drives at end of games over the years
